The SRFC 2013 AGM took place in our second home, ‘Brady’s pub in Shankill‘, on 27th of February. It was great to get such a large turnout and to catch up with each other after one of the wettest winters in recent years. Due to the good turnout of the active members, the AGM provided a range of commitments and actions, at the member’s request, such as the clubhouse roof and access to the flying site.
Reports were delivered by the Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer as well as a report from the Safety Officer. The good news from the Treasurer was that he managed to balance the finances and has suggested that we maintain the subscriptions at the same levels for a forth year in succession!! Thank you Seamus!
Following the reports, the Secretary, Garry Keogh dropped a bomb shell by announcing his retirement from the Committee. As you are aware, Garry has worked tirelessy on the Committee for a long number of years and his knowledge of the constitution is second to none. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Garry for all he has given to SRFC over the years, his experience and enthusiasm will be greatly missed. Now that Garry has freed up some time for himself, hopefully we’ll see him up in Calary with a few flying models this year!
On the subject of your committee, the following ‘motley crew’ were elected to be your representatives. Here is the list of who’s who:
|Vice Chairman||Terry Heffernan|
|Secretary||Cian Ó Lonargáin|
